Born in Madrid, in 1959, Pedro Feduchi Canosa, PhD in Architecture by Escuela Técnica Superior de Arquitectura de Madrid (E.T.S.A.M) and PhD Professor in the same institution, combines his academic and research tasks with his professional career, linked to architecture and design. From 2012 to 2016, he held the presidency of the Madrid designers association (DIMAD). He managed the activities promoted and organized in the headquarters of La Central de Diseño at Matadero Madrid.
His passion for furniture has led him to investigate some of the less-known pioneering periods of Spanish modern design. Several exhibitions have resulted from this research, curated together Pedro Reula, such as El afán moderno. Muebles e interiores en la España de los años treinta; Darro. Diseño y arte (1959-1979); H Muebles, entre la industria el arte y la arquitectura; or the most recent one, Madrid alfar de modernidad. Cerámica y diseño a mediados del siglo XX.
Co-founder of Estudio Pedro Feduchi, where architecture, renovation, museography and furniture projects are developed. He has participated in different staging works for important museums and cultural institutions such as Museo del Prado, Museo Thyssen-Bornemisza, Museo Reina Sofía, Museo de Artes Decorativas or the Academia de San Fernando, for instance. He has also a broad experience as furniture and interior designer, as it is proven in the common space refurbishing of La Residencia de Estudiantes or the resting areas of Palacio de Cibeles at Centro in Madrid.
He has undergone several reeditions of modern historical furniture, like the Formentor chair and stool by Gregorio Vicente for Blasco&Vila or the Domínguez armchair and the Arniches chair for Punt Mobles. The preceding version of today’s Tray office system won an iF product design award in 2012.
Since 2016, architect Juan Gimeno Ramallo shares managing responsibilities at the studio, together with Pedro Feduchi.
