Future Family, coexisting with flexibility, sustainability, and the wellness challenge.
For some years now, social awareness in furniture design and manufacturing for contract and home spaces has been shifting towards a more holistic approach. The imperative need to take care of the environment, but also the wellness of people in their workplaces, has allowed a substantial transformative change in the design and construction of offices, hospitality, and home areas and, therefore, in the furniture to equip them. Furniture is meant to be functional, flexible, and ergonomic but, above all, sustainable.
Society is undergoing constant changes and, for years now, it has been immersed in an evolutive and linear process related to the design of healthy and sustainable spaces for people and the environment. Many architects, interior designers, designers, and manufacturers have embraced concepts such as passivhaus construction, biophilia, cognitive accessibility, and people wellness, and they do not even consider buildings or equipment that are not sustainable or regenerative.
Currently, the relationship between sustainability, wellness, and working functionality is commonplace and takes part in all spheres of our lives. It is certainly true that there are many types of homes, restaurants, hotels, offices, etc. fitting this profile. All of them need specific furniture adapting to the peculiarities of every space, every moment, and, of course, every user. This furniture must give meaning to the whole interior design without stridency. It shall allow one to perform work tasks, or else, during hours or maybe during just a few minutes, and, in turn, it needs to meet all the features taken for granted in sensitive, emotional, functional, and design furniture to generate the promised experiences through the unity of its parts: design, interior design, shapes, textures, colors and smells.
Considering these concepts, Ofitres, as a manufacturer of contemporary design furniture for commercial and residential use, anticipates and conceives the Future Family and the Tono furniture collection, as its highest exponent. A collection standing out for its simple and delicate lines. A perfect symbiosis between shapes, materials, textures, and colors leads to extremely practical and diverse features. It generates visual and emotional comfort in any space and turns into the standard bearer of any work and social experiences.
But not only aesthetics is important for Ofitres, but also the ecological sensitivity of the company which has led us to research new options and technologies for our collections. A good example of this is the new Ecoplen fabric, designed by Héctor Ruiz. An innovative textile technology, based on nanoparticles, that purifies and keeps spaces free of viruses and bacteria. This fabric stands out for being resistant, damp-proof, antistatic, and self-cleaning, apart from avoiding degradation and discoloration thanks to its 100% solution-dyed acrylic fibers. Furthermore, fabrics with Ecoplen technology are water-repellent and antistatic, while removing the malodorous smell and acting as air-purifier. Therefore, from this last quarter of the year onwards, Tono sofas and armchairs are also available with this new finishing.
The Tono family is a large one, including executive and meeting desks, storage systems based on different cabinets and buffets, and a soft seating line. The Tono desk collection, thanks to its wide variety of configurations and combinations, as well as finishes – in walnut, beech or oak wood, aluminium, or marble, amongst others – allows to equip any type of workspace, both traditional and home offices, transforming the working area into a modern place and enhancing the space design.
And, as a travel companion to the Tono table, a complete storage system has been designed as well, following the same lines. This is formed by a program of open and closed shelves, of different heights and endless inner and outer finish combinations mixing Melamine, Alvic Luxe High Brightness, Alvic Zenit Super Mate, with a soft and delicate touch, or Alvic Syncron, etc. fitting any type of offices, collective and home spaces.
But this collection would not be complete without the furniture pieces coexisting, daily, in a multitude of spaces and welcoming people at different times of the day. So, following this premise, Ofitres closes the circle with the soft seating line, a collection including benches and poufs that complete the set of any of the spaces equipped with elements from the Tono collection. Benches are part of a modular seating collection, made of 1, 2, or 3-seat modules, with infinite combinations of armchairs and backrests. This is a program envisaged for open spaces, allowing for grand compositions, but also for tiny rooms, in which to conceive delicate resting places. The Hat pouf collection, integrated within the Tono family, offers seats designed for the optimization of open spaces and the organization of versatile and welcoming areas. A line designed for spaces demanding collaboration and social gathering.
Parallel to the evolution and transformation of offices, there has also been a substantial change in all the equipment surrounding them and, therefore, so have the desks and seats. At Ofitres, with the firm aim to create ergonomic, sustainable, and elegant furniture pieces, tailored to people, we offer professionals a wide range of equipment that goes beyond the mere aesthetics and is focused on the user. An example of this is the lifting Log-in desks collection. A range of desks that allows the dynamic evolution of work, thanks to their lifting through an intuitive control panel and a convenient design making cabling simpler than ever and allowing decluttering of the workspace. The Sitnees stools, by Wagner, are equipment pieces offering the perfect ergonomics to eliminate back strains, thanks to their Dondola movement system. A brand-new seating alternative.
Creating a pleasant environment is, more than ever, essential for everybody to feel comfortable about the space itself, but also about the furniture, as this translates into work quality, productivity boost and, above all, quality of life. In search of a balance between aesthetics, functionality, and sustainability, the new furniture proposals gathered under the Future Family concept are added-value designs. The minimalism proven by different elements of the Tono collection, designed by La Mamba team, with curved and straight lines, elegant finishes, and different compositions; the Wagner seats or the Log-in desks, take us to the new office, home office, and hospitality world. A world emotionally connected with its users. A world where people are transforming their relationship with furniture to get the perfect coexistence between it and their flexibility, without forgetting their wellness and environment preservation.
