The carbon footprint is the sum of all the greenhouse gases (GHG) released by a product and measured in all production processes of the product.

In the case of melamine, it’s the sum of all the emissions released during the product lifecycle. That is, from the plantation of raw materials in forests to the end product disposal.

Consequently, the melamine used in Ofitres by Alvic is a neutral carbon product. Even the result thrown is a negative footprint. In other words, emissions released during the product lifecycle are compensated and overcome by the CO2 collected in forests.
